![]() ![]() The game trys to keep up the tension during gampelay by adding various random effects like weapon malfunctions, suddenly spawning enemys (mostly out of ventilation shafts) or sudden panicking squad members. Mission objectives vary from mission to mission for example there are 'kill all enemys' or' capture certain points' on the map. The gameplay is very tactic heavy and can be unforgiving from time to time, espiaclly in higher difficulty settings and the addon (included in the pack). In addition, the player can modify and adapt the equipment of his squad. A briefing, usually in form of a short video sequence, explains the mission objectives. The player leads a Space Marine team that increases in units size as the game progresses. ![]() The game is divided into 35 campaign missions that can be played partly in a different order. ![]() Now it is up to the player in the role of Corporal Bratt to lead a Space Marine aquad and to defeat the alien brute. After the colony's energy shield collapses due to a power plant accident the aliens start to attack the city. The peaceful Scay'Ger (native alien species on a human colony) are mutatet by a virus and become aggressive beasts. Incubation is often described as a X-COM-like game with turn-based tactical game play in an 'alien' like setting and one of my most favorite games of all times. ![]()
